LAST BLOG POST EVER!!!!!!

This is my last blog post as a Solar Knights student. I've had many great years here and I'm sad to be leaving. I would like to thank Mr. Martin for everything he has done for me over these four years. I will be extending my engineering knowledge at the University of Central Florida where I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering. As far as this week goes, Syd finished all the paperwork and got the cords. She also got SolidWorks certified and couldn't be happier!!! 

Last Week!!!

So this is the last monday blog post ever. This week Sydney is getting some paperwork/google docs done that she needs to do before she leaves along with picking up the graduation cords. Its only a three day week and its the last one! 

Back in Action!

Syd is back in school, but not mentally there. She is still trying to recover from the surgery. Since she is only in school for two days this week, she was not really able to work on SolidWorks. However, she did do the paperwork to get Mr.Martin reimbursed. She is still waiting for Mr.Martin to find the PO, so she can grab the cords. Syd is also still unsure if she will be taking the certification test for SolidWorks because she hasn't had much time to practice.   

Nine Days Left!

So this week is a weird one because Sydney is getting her wisdom teeth out. And for anyone who is going to make a smart comment, no she will not become stupid. She is unsure if she will be coming to school after the surgery, so she is going to work on as much SolidWorks as possible. She is still waiting for the check for the graduation cords so she can go pick those up. 

Flashback Friday Computers

So this is bad. We were kicked out of our amazing tech lab into a gross portable with old windows 98 computers. This left me with nothing I could really do except blog, but my blog is up to date. So all I'm doing is looking at the test for the SolidWorks certification to familiarize myself with it.  

12 Days Left!

So Sydney only has 12 days left of school and she couldn't be more excited! This week is only three days long because of the SUPER Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so her plan is to deposit this check and get as much SolidWorks practice in. 

GEER is done!

So this week we have completed GEER! A huge weight is off our shoulders. It is probably the last event Matt and Syd will do this year. Syd also got the graduation cords done and ordered. She also had all the old documents shared with Solar Knights. Syd is now focusing on the SolidWorks Certification and also taking care of some paper work from Mr. Martin. 

GEERing up for it

Syd's very busy this week. First off this week is GEER. So Syd and Matt are going Tuesday to set up and spending all day Wednesday there. Also Syd is working on finding graduation cords for the club and getting them ordered. Her other focus is to get all the documents she has shared with the team so they can have them for next year.

Meetings Week

So this week consisted in a group meeting with the executive board going over, editing, and updating the constitution. Also Syd is working on what we need for this years Go Solar event and is going to pass it on to someone else.

Constitution Changes

So Syd is no longer an executive officer however, this week she is helping the new members edit the constitution and get the ball rolling. She is also still focused on the GEER event next week. Also she is still working towards the SolidWorks Certification. 

Most Stressful Week Ever!

After a long and stressful week Matt and Syd finished the GEER presentation. Also Syd worked on getting all the new positions made and finalized. Since Syd's main focus was GEER, she didn't work much on her SolidWorks Certification. 

GEER crack down

This week our main focus is fixing up everything for the GEER event. Today we practiced and we have a lot to fix with our presentation. Also Syd is working for her SolidWorks certification. 

PSD Thurs!

This week was short but Sydney worked with Matt and Mrs. Cantlupe on getting ready for GEER. Jasen and Syd made an outline that Matt can use to write his essay. She also went over the club Constitution because it needs to be updated. Also she made new leadership positions for the club members. She also worked with some of the newer team members on their communication skills. 

Donations!

YAY! The Plantation Women's Club donated to help the solar car race this summer! This week Sydney plans on documenting the check, also working on the GEER event and getting the club back in order after this long break. 

Trebuchet Competition

This week Paul and Syd competed in the trebuchet competition and took home 4th place! Also Syd worked with Matt on the presentation for GEER. It was successful week and now we are going on spring break! 

Market Monday

We are all already on spring break mode. But on Wednesday is our trebuchet competition so Syd's main focus is working on that. But besides that she is working on GEER stuff and email people to help us with marketing. 

Wrap Up

This week is extremely successful. Syd got everything done that she could do for the grant, even the financial paper so now it is up to Jasen to submit it. She is also doing many things with GEER with Mrs. Cantlupe and Matthew. Besides that Syd cleaned up her workspace and also worked on the Trebuchet. 

Magnet Monday

Since Sydney hasn't been in the magnet office in a while she plans on going over there and helping out where needed, and doing GEER things. Besides that she is also trying to figure out the financial part of the grant with Jasen so it can be submitted. 

It's Friday!

Sydney got the paperwork from Jasen and is going to pick up the check today. She also went over the grant and helped Jasen out with things to do. Besides that she has continually worked on her Trebuchet project, and also worked with Matt one some of the other cars. 

Money Monday

Today we got a check in from Thermal Concepts, so Sydney is going to deposit it with Mrs. Liotti. She also is going to get the W9 from Jasen to give to Mrs. Liotti so we can get the Solar Race check sent. This week Sydney's main focus is going over the Motorola Grant.  

Fantastic Week!

This week was awesome! Our team took a trip to Interplex Industries where we saw engineers in action. Syd got everything done that she wanted to this week except going over the grant, which she will start Monday. Instead she was doing something for Mrs. Cantlupe. 

Selfie Monday

This week Syd, Jasen, and Kirsten are going to finish the grant by Friday. Besides that Syd is helping Jasen work on the documents for the Solar Car Challenge. She is going to get the check to send to the race. She is also going to look over the work Kirsten did on updating the documents.
