Leaders!

In my book, this week was awesome! Syd worked with Jasen to help him get all the new leaders assigned to positions. We also figured out what all the leadership positions entail. The Executives took in all the new members and crammed in all the race paperwork. Syd worked with Ryan (the new freshman executive) on a great sponsorship from our neighbor Robbie Koppel. It was a very successful and stressful week.

Magnet Open House

Tonight was Magnet Open House. We spent the whole day today getting ready for it, and it was extremely successful. It is always rewarding to share my knowledge with incoming students in hopes to get them interested in our amazing club. This week Syd plans on continuing working with Jasen on executive paperwork, teaching him new blog techniques, along with helping him choose new leaders for next year.

Good Week!

This week Sydney got everything she had planned done plus more. The Tech Lab is all clean for open house, the cords were taken care of, the donation binder is done and filed, and she blogged/facebooked about the open house. She also has been working with Jasen on the Solar Car Challenge paperwork, along with other important executive information that he will need to know for next year.

It is a Happy Day!

Since we are starting this week out on a Tuesday it is already good! We received the STEM grant from Bentley. This week Syd plans on organizing our donations into a binder, and set up for the magnet open house! She also plans on updating the main blog and Facebook about the open house. She will also work with Dr. Bonner to order the graduation cords. Hopefully this week is going to continue with great things!

More Letters

This week has been extremely stressful. We didn't have a Wednesday meeting because Mr. Martin was not here. However, Syd was able to find another event for us to attend! Mrs. Cantlupe, the Magnet Coordinator, told her about this event. The best part is we are already invited to attend! Syd was also asked by Mrs. Cantlupe to send a letter to Al Hastings because he wanted more information about our club. She also spoke with guidance about getting graduation cords! She also blogged twice this week to the main blog about some Solar information.

So far this week has already been exciting and its only monday! The newbies worked with the old members on alternative energy car projects. This week Sydney is making some club changes, appointing new leaders, and looking for events for the Solar Knights to participate in. She also plans on taking care of some financial needs the club has. Her main focus is to get ready for the Magnet Open house on January 26th! Come out to see all your solar pals!

PULL!

This week was the most successful meeting we had so far! We figured out that our clubs first project is going to be trebuchet's! Matt and Syd also worked on assigning vehicles to the new members so they will have a technical project on their own. Syd also made a new member sheet, attendance document, and a document to list the new sponsors. Sydney looked at different events that will be beneficial to gain sponsors. As far as the Motorola Grant, they said they would get back to us sometime in January to sign up but we haven't heard anything yet.

New Year, New Changes

To make it easier on the whole team, Sydney is taking over this blog and Jasen and Kirsten are moving their blog to jkexecutiveblog.blogspot.com

The Executive Team along with Mr. Martin decided to make the club meetings to Monday's and Wednesday's. On Monday's we will work on hands on projects, and teach the newer members different things that will help them succeed in this club. And on Wednesday, we will have our club meeting and take care of the other work such as calling sponsors. Therefore, this week Sydney plans on finding different projects that we can do with the newer members. She will work with Matthew, Mr. Martin and the other Executive Officers to figure out different types of projects. Also this week she will make a new member list because we lost ours and make an hours sheet for ICC.
